1. "goofing off"

4. "folks"
5. "it's like, sooo totally awesome, 'n' stuff"

5 Australianisms I hate:

1. "mateship"
2. "don't come the raw prawn"
3. "sheila"
4. "flat out like a lizard drinking water"
5. "dinky di"

So when I caught up with my father in Tasmania just recently, he said to me, "There are some things I really hate about you, but I want you to know that I do love you."
I said, "I know," and ran out to the kitchen to make dinner, embarrassed.
A little later, after dinner, I said to Dad, "Do you really think you're going to die anytime soon?"
And he said, "No, not really."
